A little bit of what I have in mind about Pre-Production. I think that any group shouldn't put too much time during the Pre-production's period. Although it is an important time for artists and concept artists to plan out how the scenes are going to be like, the character models, the storyboarding, the background design, and the screenwritting, the pre-production period should be properly planned and should not take too much time to get it done with. It is more important to place priority on the production and post production period as that is when the story is being put into pictures and movements can be seen. Visual effects are then added during this period together with sound thus making it very time consuming.
This is the period when planning is to be carefully made and punctually followed as to meet up with the goal of accomplishing a high quality product. To summarize what I am trying to say, producers should place higher priority on the post production period rather than the pre production period.
Through experienced a year ago, students tempt to get overexcited and put in so much great ideas into a piece of paper during the brainstorm period, took so much time planning the scenes and character designs during the pre production period, resulting in them not having enough time to produce a good quality work. They tempt to forget how time consuming it is if they lose themselves in a trance of idea generation and development. I hope that this would be a reminder to all of us to be careful of what we are doing and to plan our time properly.
